Reva and Peter’s Chicago Style Engagement
Reva is a 2nd grade teacher here in Chicago and Peter is finishing his training as a pilot in the Air Force (so neat!), they are such a sweet couple and watching them interact you can just feel how close they are. We spent the afternoon in the place where Peter proposed (in the middle of the ice skating rink to a clapping crowd), Chicago’s Millennium Park. This darling couple is set to married in Mexico this summer.

Alex and Rich’s Chicago Wedding
Alex and Rich celebrated their Chicago wedding this October in style. Alex and her bridesmaids got ready in a fabulous suite at the Intercontinental O’Hare and proceeded to St. Hyacinth Basilica for a beautiful afternoon ceremony where a vintage Rolls Royce awaited them as they exited the church. The Cook County Forest Preserve later provided a lovely backdrop for some photos just before the sun set.

Kelly and Dan’s Wedding in Detroit
Kelly and Dan invited this Chicago Wedding Phototgrapher to join them for their lovely, fun wedding in Detroit. We visited Cranbrook Academy of Art for some portraits in the morning and then ventured into downtown Detroit for some warehouse shots with the bridal party! Take a peek…..

Chicago Wedding at a New Leaf
Here’s a real Chicago Wedding, shot on a gloomy day in October, but there were nothing but smiles and laughs from the happy couple. I had such a great time with Michelle and Eric with their Chicago Style Wedding that I just had to post some images on the blog. The wedding took place at a New Leaf, in Lincoln Park. atstudio has shot their many many times, and each time we cover an event there it always feels new and fresh. Enjoy! Viva Chicago Wedding!!

How to pick the right photographer?
I was thinking about suggesting some friends to At Studio and thought it might be a great opportunity to someone to post information on what should people think about when picking a wedding photographer?
I mean everyone knows about the obvious: Cost, Availability, etc… but there must be more than just that.
Any thoughts?
A Chicago Wedding at the River East Art Center
I had the pleasure of working with Niki and Ryan a few weeks ago, these two Chicago Cubs fans wanted to celebrate their wedding day at the place the two met…. where else Wrigley Field! Though her dad is a die hard White Sox Fan he was a good sport about it. The bridal party even got to meet John Cusack! (umm just a little jealous) The day started off at St. Vincent DePaul and was fantastic. We had more pit stops than I’ve ever experienced during a photo session… complete with sandwiches from Potbelly (hey a bride’s gotta eat right?) lol. We even had time to visit one of my favorite Chicago skyline photo locations before heading back to party it up at the River East Art Center! Here are the pics….
Stacy and Matt
Stacy and Matt got married a year ago so we shot this anniversary set for them. Here’s what happened…
Michelle and Adam
Michelle and Adam are slated to be married this September.
Super cool couple, and not just because Adam and I shop at the same clothing stores. Keep an eye out for more images of the couple in October.
Jen and Ryan
I was in Lake Geneva this past weekend for Jen and Ryan’s wedding. Nice little town.
Jen and Ryan were such a fun couple and they were up for just about anything which made for some amazing shots! Enjoy.
Seema and Sutha
Seema and Sutha came from San Francisco to celebrate their wedding with their family in Wheaton, IL. Seema’s mom welcomed everyone into her home and tended to every detail, which included preparing all the food for the weekend (which, by the way, was amazing). The event was warm and fun.
We snuck off to the Danada Equestrian Center for some cool portraits. The urban couple felt right at home in this country setting, and thanks to the bride and groom we have lots of great work to show from it!
Jessica and Justin
So I first met this adorable couple last fall when we did an engagement shoot.
Several months later I had the honor of joining them for their big day. They picked an amazing venue, the James Hotel, in Chicago.
They had a beautiful wedding. It was very chic and tastefully done. They didn’t stay long before heading to their new home in Texas. Best of luck to you in Texas y’all!
Ryan and Kurt
You may remember an engagement session in New York not too long ago. Well, Ryan and Kurt finally celebrated their wedding, and a great wedding it was!
Alisa and Jason
We had the pleasure of working with Alisa and Jason mid-March to shoot their intimate wedding at the Trump. The light was amazing, the view spectacular and the Chicago River… well it was very green. We should also probably mention that it was right around St. Patrick’s Day, which explains the green river.
Thanks to the bride and groom! Hope you’re enjoying Bali, we’re not jealous at all.
Julie and Cory
Yay Spring! Well, let’s not think about all the snow we got this past Sunday, but Spring is here… and one of the best things about Springtime is all the renewed color!! Yay color!
Congrats to Julie and Cory on their recent nuptials!
Adrienne and Tedd
Adrienne and Tedd were married on Oct. 18th, 2009 in Evanston, IL. They celebrated with a reception in Hawaii the following weekend. I was lucky enough to go along for the trip.
Also, a big “thank you” goes to my assistant Anthony for coming along and helping with the shoot.
Ryan and Kurt
Another engagement session in NYC… I love that city. Here’s a small sample of images, from a long day of trekking around. Enjoy!
Olivia and Kevin
Olivia and Kevin will be getting married here in Chicago next year. Yesterday we used the city as a backdrop for some engagement photos – here’s a small selection from the session.
Look for more of Olivia and Kevin when we shoot part 2 of their engagement pics in LA. They’re moving to the West Coast tomorrow. Wish them luck!
Kelly and Sean
Here’s to a real-life wedding, Chicago style. Kelly and Sean were married this past May 25th at the “W” city center.
One truly wonderful thing that I get to experience, when covering a wedding, is not only meeting family and friends of the clients, but witnessing the joining of two families through marriage. Watching subtle relationships between fathers and sons, brothers and sisters… It’s a privilege being an important part of the process. Each time I shoot a wedding, with each new family, I realize how unique and special everyone is ( which subsequently makes me miss my own family).
Kelly and Sean made me feel right at home, which always helps produce fantastic images.
Kim and Mike
This past weekend, I had the opportunity of photographing my clients’ engagement photos in New York city. Kim and Mike were fantastic to work with, and we succeeded in producing some really nice images.
Here are some of my favorites. Enjoy!!
